CAMP ACTIVITIESCampers dive into life on a real working farm, exploring the vital connections between the land and the food we eat. Each day, they take part in hands-on tasks like feeding goats and chickens, refreshing water buckets, and gathering fresh eggs. They earn their 'green thumb' by weeding, planting seedlings, and turning compost piles. Through these activities, campers learn responsibility in a meaningful and rewarding way.
Throughout the week, campers are guided by our dedicated and experienced team. Each counselor and educator brings expertise in agriculture, environmental science, and teaching, ensuring an enriching experience for all. PLay and independenceCampers enjoy group games, relay races, ice-cream making using ingredients from the farm, nature exploration, hiking across our 70+ acres, campfires, nature crafts & more! In no time, Campers become part of the working farm, forming deeper connections to the land, animals, food, and each other.
Research shows that spending time in nature—especially in microbe-rich soil--can boost health, and outdoor experiences are linked to better academic performance! |
AccommodationsOvernight campers stay at the Farmers Rising Lodge, which provides cozy bunk-style lodging. Boys' and girls' dorms are located on separate floors, each with their own bathrooms and showers. The Lodge features spacious, light-filled areas for gatherings and meals, with a large deck and patio for dining outdoors. Downstairs, a comfy den offers a perfect spot for reading, games, or indoor activities on rainy days.
Day campers gather at the both the Lodge and Main Farm Gathering Space and have access to acres of outdoor exploration, hiking trails, hammock village, and a labyrinth maze built by past campers! They can toast marshmallows around the firepit and splash in the creek, making the most of nature's playground. meals and nutritionAt Farmers Rising, food is at the heart of the camp experience. Camp Chef Andy crafts delicious, nutritious meals using fresh, local ingredients in the Lodge’s fully-certified commercial kitchen. Campers actively participate in preparing and harvesting food, gaining hands-on knowledge of where their meals come from and how they make it to the table. They’ll have the chance to try new foods straight from the farm or garden, put their own spin on familiar favorites, and deepen their connection to the land that sustains us.

Quotes from Camper Parents:
The staff was so loving & encouraging! They even remembered my daughter from camp 2 years ago. It made her feel such a part of the farm!!!
This was the BEST. I wish we could send her to all of the weeks. She thrived at this camp and came home with a head full of new knowledge and ideas! THANK YOU!!!
My son loves the animals and respects what happens on the farm. He enjoyed the work as much as the fun….This is an awesome experience for him and he loves returning each year.
Can't say enough about how much my daughter enjoyed the camp. I'd highly (and already have) recommended it to others.
My daughter was nervous about camp but ended up loving it. She definitely came back more aware about healthy eating.
Every person my daughter and I interacted with was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. My daughter was immediately comfortable with every staff member and quickly bonded with the bunk counselor. I appreciate the sense of humor of the staff members and responsibility placed on the kids.
