Fresh food belongs on the West Side. The Rockford Mobile Grocery Store is bringing choice, dignity, and affordability to the neighborhoods that have been left behind- one stop at a time.
The Rockford Mobile Grocery Store will provide fresh, affordable groceries to underserved neighborhoods in Rockford, IL.
This project will reduce food insecurity, improve access to fresh and local food, and improve the long-term physical health of residents.
Beyond immediate food access, this initiative is designed as a proof of concept toward establishing a permanent brick-and-mortar grocery presence
in Rockford's most underserved communities
